I’ve decided to begin listening to my soul when it comes to doing what I want. Did I love teaching? Yes. But teaching in the classroom felt like a small percentage of what I did. There was also meetings, certifications, tons of emails, and behind the scenes stuff. So, over the summer, I’ve been aContinueContinue reading “Big News”

Motivation
My last pay period from teaching will be the end of August. I have stressed myself lately trying to figure out how to make money when that source runs out. I know I want to try self-employment. I also know I have never worked for myself, so the change in lifestyle and financial security willContinueContinue reading “Motivation”
Goals for the future
There is a lot happening in my world right now. I’ve been caught up in changes that I haven’t been able to keep up with the usual daily routines: weeding, writing, researching random things. Between selling my house, moving in with girlfriend and her family, and leaving teaching, I’ve been busy. Anna, my girlfriend, andContinueContinue reading “Goals for the future”

No Identity
For a brief moment, no more than three seconds, I forgot who I was. Staring at the chocolate gelato looking waves of the river, my name left me. I was simply a homo sapien looking at water. Purely primal. I didn’t have a name, job, girlfriend, house, debt, hunger, or history. And then it wasContinueContinue reading “No Identity”
First Post: Salutations
Howdy-do! The name is Nick Bucci. If you haven’t read the bio: I am a teacher, writer, and photographer. You should also know that I enjoy the Oxford Comma. I’m not really sure what the purpose of the blog will be other than quenching my desire to write. If I create a commitment, I haveContinueContinue reading “First Post: Salutations”
